বরবটি দিয়ে মাছের ঝাল / Fish Curry with Cowpea Beans
Ingredients
(Serves – 2)
Fish (Katla or Ruhu) – 2 Pcs.
Borboti (Cowpea Beans) – 200 gms
(Cut into 1” pieces)
Kalonji – ¼ Tsp
Turmeric Powder – ½ Tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tsp
Kashmiri Chilli Powder – ½ Tsp
Green Chili – 2 Pcs
Dry Red Chili – 1 Pc
Mustard Oil – 3 Tbsp
Salt – as per taste
Methods:
1. 1, Marinate
the fish pieces with Salt and Turmeric Powder. Keep aside for at least 15
minutes.
2. 2. In
a Kadai add 3 Tbsp of Mustard oil. Add the marinated fish for frying. Turn the
pieces after 2 minutes. Keep frying till it becomes golden colour. Remove and
keep aside.
3. 3. Add
Nigella seed and dry red chilli. Saute for 30 secs. Add the Borboti (Cowpea
beans) and saute for 2 minutes.
4. 4. Add
Red chili powder, Kashmiri chilli powder and turmeric powder. Mix properly.
5. 5. Add
salt as per taste and green chili. Continue saute for another 1 min.
6. 6. Add
2-3 Tbsp of water to avoid burning of the masala and saute for 2 min or till
the beans are almost done.
7. 7. Add
the fried fish and mix.
8. 8. Add
1/2 cup of warm water and cook covered for 2-3 minutes.
9. 9. Remove the cover and cook till the gravy is semi dry.F
