Masala Oats | মশলা ওটস


 

It is a very healthy recipe made in microwave with very less oil. It can be taken in breakfast as well as in dinner.

Ingredients (Serves - 2)

  • Rolled Oats - 1 cup
  • Onion - 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 medium finely chopped
  • Carrot - 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • Green Peas - 1/2 cup
  • Green Chili - 2 nos. finely cut
  • Coriander leaves - 2 Tbsp finely cut
  • Mustard Seed - 1/2 Tsp
  • Olive or vegetable Oil - 2 Tbsp

Method

  1. In a MW safe bowl take 1 cup of rolled oats and microwave high for 3 mins and keep aside.
  2. In another MW safe bowl take 2 Tbsp of olive oil and microwave high for 1 min
  3. Add 1/2 tsp mustard seed and microwave high for 1 min
  4. Add the chopped onion, mix and microwave high for 4 mins stirring in between
  5. Add chopped tomatoes, mix and microwave high for 2 mins
  6. Add the green peas and carrot, mix and microwave high for 2 mins
  7. Add green chili and salt to taste. Add the roasted oat and give it a good mix
  8. Microwave high for 2 mins
  9. Add 2.5 cup of water. Mix it thoroughly and microwave high for 2 mins
  10. Add the coriander leaves and microwave high for 1 min
  11. Allow standing time for 5 minutes.
  12. Masala oats is ready to serve.
