Rava Upma | Healthy Recipe | Microwave Recipe

 

Ingredients (Serves – 2) | One cup – 250 ml

Semolina (Rawa) – 1 Cup

Green Peas – ½ Cup

Onion finely chopped – 1 Large

Tomato finely chopped – 1 medium

Ginger finely chopped – 1 inch

Green Chilli (Finely cut) – 2 Nos.

Chana Dal – 1 Tsp

Urad Dal 1 Tsp

Curry Leaves – 10-12 Pcs.

Mustard Seeds – ½ Tsp

Ghee – 2 Tsp

Oil – 2 Tbsp

Salt – 1 Tsp or to taste

 

Method:

1)      In a Micro safe Bowl add 1 Cup semolina and microwave high for 4 minutes stirring after 2 minutes. Once roasted keep aside.

2)      In micro safe bowl add 2 Tbsp oil, ½ Tsp mustard seeds, 1 Tsp Chana Dal, 1 Tsp Urad Dal and 10-12 curry leaves. Mix and microwave high for 2 minutes.

3)      Take out from the microwave, add onion, tomato, ginger and green chili. Mix and microwave high for 2 minutes.

4)      Add Green Peas, mix and microwave high for 2 minutes.

5)      Add the roasted semolina, mix and microwave high for 2 minutes.

6)      Add 2 Cups of water, 1 Tsp Salt. Mix well and microwave high for 2 minutes.

7)      Take out from microwave, stir well and again microwave high for 1 minute.

8)      Add 2 Tsp Ghee, mix and microwave high for 30 secs.

9)      Give a standing time of 5 minutes and serve.
