Peas Pulao in Microwave | মটর পোলাও | Peas
Pilaf
Peas Pulao is generally prepared during winter season when fresh peas are available in plenty.
This dish has been prepared in Microwave, however it can be cooked in gas also by following the same method.
Ingredients
(Serves: 2)
Raw Basmati rice – 1 ½ Cup
Peas – 1 Cup
Cashew Nuts – 8-10 nos.
Raisin – 2 Tbsp
Bay leaves – 2 Nos.
Cloves – 3 nos.
Green Cardamom – 2-3 nos
Cinamon – 1 inch
Cumin Seed – ½ Tsp
Sugar – 2 Tsp
Chopped Ginger – 1 Tsp
Ghee – 2 Tsp
Oil – 2 Tbsp
Salt – 1 Tsp or as per taste
Method:
1) Wash and soak the rice for 30 minutes.
2) In a MW safe bowl add 2 Tsp Ghee, add cashewnuts and raisins. Microwave in high power for 1 minutes. Once done keep aside.
3) In the same bowl add 2 Tsp of oil. Add bayleaves, cloves, Green Cardamom, Cinamon and cumin seed. Microwave high for 2 minutes.
4) Take out from Microwave and add chopped ginger and peas. Microwave in high power for 2 minutes.
5) In the mean time drain the soaked rice. Now add the drained rice and microwave in high power for 3 minutes.
6) Take out from microwave and add 3 cups of water (Double the quantity of rice). Mix well and microwave in high power for 5 minutes.
7) After 5 minutes stir it. Again microwave in high power for 5 minutes.
8) Take out the bowl from microwave stir with a fork and microwave it another 2 minutes.
9) Take out and give a standing time of nearly 5 minutes.
10) Peas pulao is ready to serve.
