Perfect Jeera Rice in Microwave | ঝরঝরে জিরা রাইস | Cumin Rice
Jeera Rice is the most popular Indian rice-based dish served in restaurants. Most people prefer to have Jeera rice instead of plain basmati rice along with dal and curry dishes. Here we have prepared in microwave in just 30 minutes. Bachelors also can prepare this without any hassles.
Ingredients
(Serves: 1)
Raw Basmati rice – 1 Cup
Bay leaves – 2 Nos.
Cloves – 3 nos.
Green Cardamom – 3 nos
Cinnamon – 1 inch
Cumin Seed – 1 Tbsp
Ghee – 1 Tsp
Oil – 1 Tsp
Salt – 1/2 Tsp or as per taste
Method:
2) After 30 minutes drain the rice and keep aside.
3) In a MW safe bowl add 1 Tsp Ghee, and 2 Tsp of oil. Add bayleaves,
cloves, Green Cardamom, Cinnamon and cumin seed. Microwave high for 3 minutes.
4) Now add the drained rice, salt and microwave in high power for 2
minutes.
5) Take out from microwave and add 2 cups of water (Double the quantity
of rice). Mix well and microwave in 70% power for 20 minutes.
6) Take out the bowl from microwave stir with a fork and give a
standing time of 5 minutes.
7) Jeera Rice is ready to serve along with dal or curry.
