Chicken Curry | মুরগীর ঝোল | Microwave Recipe | Bachelor’s Cooking
Ingredients
(Serve – 1)
Chicken – 300 gms
Onion Paste – 2 Tbsp
Garlic – 6 Cloves
Ginger – 1 inch
Green Chilli – 2 nos.
Turmeric Powder – ½ Tsp
Red Chilli Powder – ½ Tsp
Cumin Powder – ½ Tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 Tsp
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tsp
Curd – 2 Tbsp
Onion sliced – 1 medium
Tomato Chopped – 1 medium
Whole Garam masala (Cardamom -2,
Cinnamon – 1 inch, Cloves -3)
Bay leaves – 1
Garam masala Powder – ¼ Tsp
Sugar – ½ Tsp
Oil – 2 Tsp + 2 Tsp
Ghee – 1 Tsp
Salt as per taste
Method
1. Wash and pat dry the chicken. Make Garlic, ginger and green chilli
paste.
2. Transfer the chicken into a mixing bowl. Add onion paste,
ginger-garlic-green chilli paste, Turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin
powder, coriander powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, Curd, salt and 2 Tsp Oil.
Mix thoroughly. Cover and keep aside for 30 minutes.
3. In a microwave safe bowl add 2 Tsp oil. Add bayleaf, dry red chilli
and whole garam masala. Next add sliced onion, chopped tomatoes and ½ Tsp sugar.
Mix well. Microwave covered in high power for 6 minutes.
4. Take out from the microwave and add the marinated chicken. Mix well.
Microwave uncovered in high power for 10 minutes.
5. Take out from the microwave, stir and add 1 cup of water. Mix.
Microwave uncovered in high power for another 10 minutes.
6. Take out from the microwave. Add ½ cup of warm water or add water
depending on your requirement of gravy. Check salt and adjust as per your
taste. Microwave in high power for 1 minute.
7. Take out; add 1 Tsp Ghee and ½ Tsp Garam masala powder, mix and keep
covered for 5 minutes.
8. Chicken curry is ready to serve. Serve with rice, roti or paratha.
