Chicken Sausage Pulao | Sausage Pilaf
Ingredients
(Serves: 2)
Raw Basmati rice – 1 ½ Cup
Chicken Sausages – 250 gms
Onion Sliced - 1 medium
Garlic Chopped – 6 to 8 pods
Green Chilli chopped – 3 nos.
Black Cardamom – 1 no
Green Cardamom – 3 nos.
Cinnamon – 1 inch
Pepper Corn – 8 to 10 nos.
Bay Leaf – 2 nos.
Shah Jeera – ½ Tsp
Black Pepper powder – ½ Tsp
Nutmeg Powder – ¼ Tsp
Oil – 3-4 Tbsp
Ghee – 1 Tsp
Salt – as per taste
1) Wash and soak the rice for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes drain the
rice.
2) Slice the sausages as per your liking
3) Heat 2 Tbsp oil. Fry the sausages along with ½ Tsp black pepper and ½
Tsp salt till they are golden brown. Remove and keep aside.
4) In the same oil add 2 Tsp oil and 1 Tsp Ghee.
5) Add bayleaf, Shah Jeera, Green Cardamom, Cinnamon, Black Cardamom
and black pepper corn. Saute for 2 minutes.
6) Now add sliced onion. Saute till onions become translucent. Now add
chopped garlic and green chillies.
7) Fry for 2-3 minutes in medium flame. Don’t make onion and garlic
brown.
8) Add drained rice and saute for 2-3 minutes in medium flame.
9) Add the fried sausages. Saute for 1 minute.
10) Add 1 Tsp salt or as per your taste. Add 3 Cups of water.
11) Bring to boil and then cover and cook for 15 minutes in medium
flame.
12) After 15 minutes stir the rice gently. Cover and cook for another 10
minutes in low to medium flame.
13) Now add ¼ Tsp Nutmeg Powder and mix well.
14) Switch off the flame. Cover and keep for 5 minutes.
15) Sausage Pulao is ready to serve.
